After listing it on its company website last week, InFocus has now launched the Bingo 50+ smartphone in India. The smartphone is available exclusively on Amazon India, and is priced at Rs. 7,999.

Last week, InFocus listed the Bingo 50+ on its website, but the pricing availability details remained a mystery. Now, the smartphone has officially gone on sale on Amazon India. It is available in Silver and Gold colour variants, and InFocus is offering one year manufacturer warranty for the smartphone, and six months warranty for in-box accessories including batteries.

Judging by the name, the Bingo 50+ is an upgrade to the InFocus Bingo 50 that was launched earlier this year. The InFocus Bingo 50+ not only sees upgrades in the specifications department, but is also seen sporting a full metal body. The predecessor Bingo 50 (Read our review here) had options of fake leather or sandpaper finishes for the rear cover panel, and metal was only found on the sides.

As for specifications, the InFocus Bingo 50+ runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Infinite UI 2.0 OS, and supports a hybrid dual-SIM (Nano + Nano) slot. It features a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 quad-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It offers 16GB of inbuilt storage, with the option to expand via microSD card (up to 64GB).


The InFocus Bingo 50+ sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, autofocus, HDR mode, and full-HD video recording. There is also an 8-megapixel selfie camera on board. It packs a 2600mAh battery that claims to last up to 12 hours of talk time, and 480 hours of standby time. The company claims that the InFocus Bingo 50+ can play music for 58 hours on single charge, and play video for 6.9 hours continuously.

Connectivity options include GSM, WCDMA, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, FM radio, USB OTG, and 3.5mm audio jack. The InFocus Bingo 50+ measures at 156x76.8x7.25mm and weighs 159 grams. The InFocus Bingo 50+ houses an accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.

Lenovo appears all set to launch the next smartphone from its Zuk series in India. The Chinese company's India handle on Monday tweeted "Wait for it..... NOT! #FastForward" along with an image of a red and black impression of a smartphone.

As we see, the image has a caption that says "Impatience is a virtue" with a superimposed 'Z', which suggests it could be Lenovo Zuk Z2, which was launched in May in China. There is no information on the date of its launch unfortunately. The company in an emailed statement confirmed it would be launching the Lenovo Z2 Plus in India, the successor to the Lenovo Zuk Z1.
The Lenovo Z2 Plus can be expected to be an India-branded of the Lenovo Zuk Z2, which was launch in China in May at CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 18,400). The Zuk Z2 has 2.5D 5-inch full-HD display with anti-oil and anti-fingerprint protection. It is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of LPPDR4 RAM.

The camera modules in the smartphone consist of a 13-megapixel on the rear and an 8-megapixel on the front, along with slow-motion video recording at 960fps. The Zuk Z2 also bears a 3500mAh battery, which may be what the teaser is alluding to.

At the time of launch, the Zuk Z2 already supported Indian LTE bands (Band 40). It was made available in Black and White colour variants in China.

  Metal body: The K3 Note was equipped with best in line hardware at its price point, but it sported a plastic body. The very first teaser of the K4 Note showed off metallic edges and usual power and volume buttons on the right. If priced right, metallic design could be one of the differentiating factor of the K4 Note.

The likes of Samsung and HTC have hogged the limelight this year courtesy of their flagship Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, and the One M9. Now however, Sony has entered the fray to shift some light towards it. Today, the Japanese company has taken the wraps off its flagship Xperia Z4 at an event in Japan.
The Xperia Z4 is in line with the numerous leaks we saw in the past few weeks. It follows Sony’s Omnibalance design language with a glass back and aluminum frame, but there are slight differences. It is slimmer and lighter than its predecessor with a thickness of only 6.9mm (down from 7.3mm) and weighs 144 grams (down from 152 grams).
As far as the specifications are concerned, it flaunts the same 5.2-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Triluminos Display powered by X-Reality engine, which is the same as the Xperia Z3. Under the hood though, the flagship is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
On the photography front, there is a 20.7-megapixel primary camera with Exmos RS sensor, and 4K video recording capabilities. On the front however there are big changes. While there is a 5.1-megapixel selfie camera with Exmor R sensor, and 25mm wide-angle lens, Sony has also included digital image stabilization.
The flagship also features 32GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card, Sony DSEE HX audio technology, FM Radio, and 2,930mAh battery with STAMINA mode. Connectivity options include LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and on the software front, it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
Also in line with previous leaks, the flagship continues to be resistant to water and dust with IPX5/IPX8 rating. But unlike its predecessors, there is no plastic flap covering the USB port or the 3.5mm audio jack.

Lenovo P70 launched in India for Rs 15,999, features HD display, 4,000mAh battery, LTE support

Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge goes on sale in India today, prices start from Rs 49,900

After unveiling them at MWC, Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge in India towards the end of last month. Today, both the flagships are going on sale in India, with prices starting from Rs 49,900.
The two smartphones were up for pre-orders on e-commerce sites like Flipkart, Amazon India, Infibeam and Snapdeal. The e-commerce sites had offers including exchange schemes, screen-replacement offer, Payback points, and cash back offers among others. Currently, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are listed on Flipkart as Coming Soon, but they are already on sale Amazon India and Snapdeal.
The phones are available in three variants – 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. The Galaxy S6 prices start from Rs 49,900 for 32GB, Rs 55,900 for 64GB and Rs 61,900 for 128GB. The Galaxy S6 Edge prices, on the other hand, start from Rs 58,900 for 32GB, Rs 64,900 for 64GB and Rs 70,900 for 128GB variants.
To recap, the Galaxy S6 flaunts a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED QHD (2560×1440 pixels) display with a pixel density of 577ppi, and is powered by an Exynos 7420 octa-core (2.1GHz quad-core+1.5GHz quad-core) chipset paired with 3GB of RAM.

It also features a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, 5-megapixel camera up front, 2,550mAh battery with Ultra Power Saving Mode and wireless charging capabilities. Connectivity options include LTE support, NFC, IR Blaster, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and on the software front, it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box, wrapped under an overhauled TouchWiz UI.
The Galaxy S6 Edge’s USP is its dual-curved display. As for specifications, they are nearly identical to the Galaxy S6, albeit with small changes. While the size and resolution of the display remain the same, there the display curves on both sides. The only other difference is a minutely bigger battery at 2,600mAh.
