Micromax-backed YU has today launched a new phablet in India called the Yureka Note. The phablet was leaked online yesterday, and everything we came across is in line with today’s launch. The Yureka Note with its 6-inch display is priced at Rs 13,499. A thing to note is unlike previous YU smartphones that were sold online only, the new Yureka Note is going on sale today on mobile stores as well.

YU says its new Yureka Note is aimed at users wanting a great multimedia and gaming experience. It features a polycarbonate body with a metallic frame. It also boasts two mics, and dual speakers with NXP, as well as a fingerprint scanner at the back. The company says that the sensor is fast enough to unlock the device in only 0.5 seconds.

YU Yureka Note specifications, features: The new phablet flaunts a 6-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with 367ppi protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by MediaTek’s MT6753T octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM, and also offers 16GB internal storage, which can be further expanded using a microSD card.

The Yureka Note also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and dual-LED flash, 5-megapixel selfie camera with wide angle lens, and a 4,000Ah battery with Quick Charging support. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and micro-USB with OTG support. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop 5.1.1.

At this price point, the new Yureka Note will face competition from the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 1s and the Lenovo K4 Note to name a few. Check out the comparison table below to see how they compare.
