It’s been over two months since Xiaomi released the MIUI 7 global stable build, and now the company is all set to rollout the incremental update. Dubbed as MIUI 7.1, the update will be available for compatible Xiaomi smartphones and tablets.

While Xiaomi has been working on MIUI 7 update based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the MIUI 7.1 update is likely to stay on Android 5.1 Lollipop with bug fixes and stability improvements in tow. The official changelog and download links will be posted tomorrow, the company mentioned in its forum post.

The list of devices that will get the MIUI 7.1 update include - Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Mi Note, Redmi 1S 3G, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi 2 Primeand the Mi Pad. Xiaomi has also released the MIUI 7 global stable ROM for the Mi 2/2s, which can be downloaded from here.

To recap, MIUI 7 update added a host of new features such as SMS filter, XXL Text, facial recognition in the Camera roll, and an auto DND feature. It also comes with a special Child Mode, where MIUI 7 automatically identifies babies with facial recognition and groups their photos together.
